I love my Reach family. My coworkers, clients, teachers, and families make me enjoy coming to work every day.
Ashley received her master’s degree in speech-language pathology from the University of Central Arkansas. She lives in Vilonia with her husband, Austin, and two children, Elliana, and Noah. They enjoy camping, backpacking, hiking, watching movies, and traveling together. She has been working in pediatrics for seven years. When asked why she chose pediatrics she says: “I have always loved kids. I enjoy helping children develop language and social skills that they will use for the rest of their lives to develop relationships and communicate their wants, needs, and ideas.”
Ashley has a particular interest in feeding and swallowing disorders and has obtained numerous specialty certifications and training including PECS, Beckman Oral-Motor Assessment and Intervention, Pre-Chaining and Food Chaining, Melanie Potock’s Feeding Therapy: It’s Not Just about Swallowing, and Kristi Gatto’s Orofacial Myofunctional Development & Maladaption from Birth through Childhood. When asked about future goals she wants to pursue professionally she says, “I would like to get certified as a lactation consultant to be able to help infants who are having issues with latching or sucking.” Ashley brings a kindhearted, passionate nature to the Reach therapy team. “I love my Reach family. My coworkers, clients, teachers, and families make me enjoy coming to work every day. Reach is a positive and fun work environment.”
