INTEGRATED LISTENING SYSTEM

Results of the iLs Focus System in children can include better academic outcomes, increased ability to control impulses and self-regulate behavior, and improved ability to engage appropriately with others. Teens and adults can also benefit from this program, with improved reading comprehension, concentration, memory, and performance at work. Most clients report less stress and anxiety as well as an improvement in mood.

WHY INTEGRATED LISTENING SYSTEM?

Integrated Listening System (iLs) Focus System is a method for improving brain function and is based on the concept of neuroplasticity, or the fact that we can change or re-wire the brain with repeated stimulation. Children as young as two years old to adults can benefit from the program.

HOW IT WORKS

The multisensory input provided in the Focus System helps to develop new pathways for the organization of body and brain function, as well as reinforcing existing pathways. The iLs’ air and bone conduction headphones deliver therapeutically-treated music that provides auditory input to the brain and sensory input to the body. Movement activities provide additional sensory and motor input for body organization and are customized to each individual. Cognitive activities are eventually added to challenge the brain to process multiple pieces of information. The Focus System is a staged approach that is important for developing a foundation that may have never been fully developed or was interrupted due to an event.
