My favorite part of my job is getting to build relationships with clients and families and getting to see progress in their environments.

Katy Shouse

Occupational Therapist

Katy believes that working with families and teachers helps provide carryover, and she does a wonderful job of practicing that daily with her clients.

Katy graduated from the University of Central Arkansas with a Bachelor’s of Health Science with an emphasis in Occupational therapy in 2010. She then went on to complete her Master’s of Science in Occupational Therapy in August of 2012. She has been working in a pediatric setting for 6.5 years. She is certified in the S.O.S. (Sequential Oral Sensory) Approach to Feeding, Handwriting Without Tears, and has attended many pieces of training and courses on working with children with Sensory Processing disorders. Katy lives in Conway with her husband, Taylor, 3-year-old, Sawyer, and 3-month-old, Luke. When asked what she loves about working in pediatrics she says, “I enjoy working with kids to include functional and meaningful activities.”

Katy believes that working with families and teachers helps provide carryover, and she does a wonderful job of practicing that daily with her clients. “My favorite part of my job is getting to build relationships with clients and families and getting to see progress in their environments.” Katy is always willing to lend a helping hand, her selflessness and compassion shines and is a testament to the progress seen in so many children’s lives that she has worked with. We are grateful to have Katy on board with us here at Reach.
